Played Out!

So hear me out.  I work I guess you could say in entertainment.  I would for a large company that owns 4 tv stations and 4 radio stations.  One of the stations played music for the people.  It was market Mexican Regional but it mainly played Tejano music.  Due to some unforeseen circumstance, the program director was fired and the station was given control to another program director in charge of 2 English speaking stations.  Gradually, Tejano music was being weeded out and replaced with Norteno music.  A lot of loyal listeners started noticing the change.  They accused the poor sales in shows and other things that cause of such change.  Now that station has a playlist of 7 artists at the most.  All the local Tejano bands have gone up to Corpus Christi to do radio promotions.

If that wasn't enough the morning show decided to add a female who's only qualifications to work there is that she get there blood flowing if you catch my drift.  This move pissed off female listeners because she carries herself as a pro and dress likewise.  This friday is her singing debut.  Oh what a joke that will be.  Along that we have to bear with recycled Jeff Foxworthy redneck jokes rearranged to be "CLICKA" jokes.  I really just wanna go for Riley Y Los Gilitos.

Now us listeners were blamed for the "death" of Tejano.  We have proved time and time again that Tejano isn't dead.  On Saturday, June 5th 2011, La Mafia performed to a crowd of over 1,000.  They set records for most people in that venue for a show.

To those "haters" of our music, to all those non supporters, to all those that have nothing better to do but to mock us fans.  Your time will come.  Ratings are around the corner.  Can you feel the pressure?  Who or what are you going to blame for how you do?  What now?
